University of North Dakota — Grant Review Tooling

In collaboration with TRANSCEND RDCDC

AURORA

Asynchronous Unified Review Of Research Applications

Asynchronous, NIH-style peer review of grant applications. Reviewers score on the 1–9 criteria scale, write structured critiques, and discuss anonymously — then administrators export study-section-ready reports.

Sign in Account access is invite-only. Contact your study-section administrator for credentials.

How it works for reviewers

  1. Sign in and open your assignments

Your administrator creates the account and assigns the applications you review. Signing in takes you straight to your dashboard, which lists what is waiting and when it is due.

  2. Score each section and write your critique

Read the proposal, score each section on the NIH 1–9 scale, and write strengths and weaknesses against the criteria shown beside them. Save a draft as often as you like; nothing is shared with the panel until you submit.

  3. Discuss anonymously before the meeting

Once the panel's reviews are in, compare them and discuss in threaded comments under a stable anonymous label, so the study-section meeting starts from a shared picture.

Administrators also set up the calls, assign the panel, record conflicts of interest, and export study-section-ready reports.
